I have a horrible feeling it's having a heart attack. Dogs and horses do something very similar, which is a stiffening of the neck and involuntary "walking". Horses normally fall over, but dogs and cats have a better centre of gravity.
He's obviously seen something he doesn't like. I suspect a mirror or something.

Looks like a seizure to me. My last cat had kidney problems, and as a result he would have a grand-mal seizure every few days :-(

Yeah, but fencers can't sword fight.
The fixed head position and the way the cat's feet slide made it look like it was cruelly being pulled along with something tied around its neck, to me. I feel slightly foolish, now.
