Since I'm not arsed about the magic side of things I'm using the Steed blessing stone, which gives you 100 extra capacity and also makes your heavy armour and weapon and shield not count towards the capacity total as well.

Main quest done.

Just 5 more cheevos to go and it's 100%.

100 or so hours of gameplay, well worth it.

1.4 Is out, according to Major Nelson.

It hasn't fixed the Telrav quest.

A quarter of a year from the quest that broke on day 1 for me, four patches, still not fixed.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, they're a bunch of fucking twats at Bethesda.

Go Detective Kovacs.. I have solved a murder...

Now switch to 1 of the 2 sets of Eleven Armour I got from the embassy quest. Feels odd not having the heavy armour, but I might disenchant the heavy and put them on the light.

You don't need to do that do you? I thought once you'd learnt an enchantment you can apply it to multiple items.

I think what I mean is. I have not learnt the enchantments that my heavy armour has. but I am worried that if I dis-enchant the armour. Teh spells will be weaker on my new set.

Got the Wobblecock of Nutcase Daedra and returned the Skeleton Key last night

(hope the Nightingale skills pay off for me now I've lost the use of that awesome key). Couldn't stop myself returning it as I wanted to play through the Theives Guild stuff to the end.

They absolutely will be, unless you've levelled enchanting up to ridiculous levels then anything you self-enchant will be shite compared to stuff you found that was already enchanted. The upside though is that you can enchant stuff that wasn't already enchanted so it's swings and roundabouts. Be wary though, if you don't have the perk that lets you smith enchanted objects then once you stick an enchantment on something you can't improve it through smithing any more. You also can't choose to take the enchantment off it and you're stuck waiting for it to run out beforer you can smith the item againl which generally takes fucking ages. I did a rant about this in more detail further back in the thread as I ended up unable to improve my favourite gear because I'd enchanted it all without realising all this.

I got two sets of elven light armour, and upgraded both with smithing. One is in my chest at home, one I am wearing.

The set I am wearing I will enchant. Leaving the other set for me to improve later then enchant.

Well I've just installed this. Rather large game isn't it? So large I suspect it'll actually take me a couple of years to complete as I hate missing anything but also lack the time to play it for 5-6 hours at a go.

So far I appear to have inadvertantly sided with the legion, having been confused who to follow on my initial escape. But that's fine by me, fuck these rebellious bastards. I then followed the legion guy back home and I'm now spazzing about collecting plants and killing wolves and making sure I haven't missed anything in the first town bit. This will take some time.

I chose legion at the start by mistake too, didn't affect the game whatsoever, just changes who you talk to at the start.

My instinct is to ignore stealth and stealing, and instead focus on heavy armour and two-handed death with awesome smithing.

I went for heavy armour death dealer who sneaks around, archery makes dungeons a lot smoother since the hack and slash combat is a bit pants in the game.

Nightingale Armour for me at the moment, excellent perks and light weight suit my character. Concentrated at first on Destruction magic but now I find myself using Conjuration (Flame Atronach mostly) and Magic Ebony dagger :hat: when not using my awesome fire bow of awesome.

Level 31 with a full set of Daedric Armour now, kinda regret going straight for it as it is am virtually un-killable now, unless it is verses casters, who just seem to nail me. It just looks so damn cool

A giant cabbage restores 75 health when eaten, and gives you a passive wind power that can be used more than once per day.

I killed a Dragon last night that didn't burn up to leave a skellington. Is that a certain type or just a bug?

Ok, I'm nearly level 6, with improved steel armour. Laughed myself silly dying repeatedly while trying to kill a giant. Still focussed on smithing and two-handed death. Taking every item worth at least 1 gold to sell.

Dude, take only things worth ten times their weight, if it's to sell... you'll still have an inventory full of stuff by time time you clear a dungeon and by mid-game, no matter what you do, you'll have way, way more in terms of item value than the shops will have to buy them off you and you'll be wishing you could just go to one or two people and flog all your loot.

Yeah standard for any game I think. Cash poor early on, fed up with cash later. I've scraped together enough for my first house so I'm now offloading excess shit into a chest.

I have just discovered sneak spamming though; total game flaw. My sneak is now 46 and I've gone from Level 7 to 11 in about an hour as a result, hah.

Now level 27 with level 100 pickpocketing. Still haven't left the first hold area. This might take forever. Who said this game was about 100 hours? It's waaaay more.

I found a spell that lets me turn iron ore into silver ore, and silver ore into gold ore. Which is going to be fairly useful for making stuff.

Just made loads and loads of iron daggers. Over 80 in nothing.

Having difficulty fighting in the dark star. Keep getting whooped. Tempted to drop a difficulty level.

There's only so many permutations though, and I won't repeat anything I've already done. Fun to chip away at though, and I'm currently revisiting everyone I've ever met to pick their pockets which is turning out to be really handy for finding enchanted items.

Had to reload an earlier save as I realised last night that I'd chucked a nice bit of kit* away by accident.

Wasn't too bad redoing the mission/s I'd already done before I realised.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
It was one of the Dragon Priests masks, Krosis' one which is great for archery and other stuff.

I had 3 or 4 of them by the time I finished, didn't use a single one as I liked having the bonuses from full sets of light armour with my nightingale armour.

I've accepted that they aren't goin to fix the broken quests and I might as well carry in with patch 1.4. Now the game crashes every time I play it. I'm restarting my 360 at least once an hour.

I've had it freeze for a few minutes a couple of times during loading areas but that's mostly it.
In other news...
I've given my dragon scale to my side kick while I try and make use of the nightingale stuff. Need to max out my enchantment also find some void salt to upgrade the stuff.

More general grind here. Followed a dog across the map for aaaaages and it's now spawned another far reaching quest. I was only trying to tidy up my General quests too! Arragh. Fought what must be my 4th dragon which wandered close to a large band of Stormcloaks and got massively owned without me doing much. Might have to quit the game for a couple of weeks before I burn out.

Something is clearly wrong with your 360 or game then GY as I had no real problems with it.

I think we can agree there's definitely something wrong with my game :)

I've had one problem in 60 hours of playing. The only patch that is on it is the updates until 27th December.

I've found one bug so far. Picked up a letter to kill a giant for a bounty, but also received the same mission from a Jarl, making two objectives appear. I kill said giant, and claim the Jarl's reward (1000) but the dialog for 'Give me my bounty' also appears, and so I get 100 for that. Trouble is the 'Claim bounty' is stuck in my quest log now and I can't set a marker to it either.

Annoying but imagine trying to map all of the possible mission overlaps and interferences throughout the world, it must be a nightmare.
