Why would I do that? I'm only getting out of the place on Saturday.

A fair few of us are making a weekend of it - I'll be around Friday, Saturday and possibly a fair chunk of Sunday. Can't see a whole lot of point travelling so far (admittedly false for me) just to spent half a day.

I'm not sure what time I'll be there on the Friday. It all depends whether or not Miss Malabar can get any time off work; I suspect I'll have no problem, but she works in a school. Else it'll be 7 PM or so, at a guess, before I get there.

Don't know, don't know. I've asked a couple of times, but no-one seems to have made any plans.

Right - many thanks for the offers of hospitality from both Albino and Bik, and I will now be staying at Bik's as he's passed the Mrs Chris psycho test. I tried to explain Zardoz to her and she went a funny colour.

Also, not sleeping on the floor>>>>>>sleeping on the floor.

you're a star, bik - thanks!

I imagine I'll be getting a train at about half five from Euston. Then I'll leg it to the hotel to drop my bags before dashing back across town to make the expensive meal.

Om nom nom.

I'll be driving to Bik's house on Saturday, planning to arrive at about midday(ish).
I'll dump my bags and go drinking.

I'll be driving back the next day when I wake up. If anyone wants a lift to London, let me know and I'll take you if I still live in London.

Make your mind up, is it walking or your exploded back?

Not to worry, getting stuff out of this house into a van should be the easy bit.

No worries - it'll be good to have some people over, even if it's just to spill kebabs on the floor, puke and pass out.

Apart from 2 people, every single person I'd invite to a housewarming would need a bed, so I'm not having one, see.

I have now signed the tenancy, paid the deposit and rent, and got keys. It is definitely On.

What time are you going to be heading in to town? I'm going to be turning up in Manchester around 3, so not sure whether I should head to your place first, or carry my bag around with me all day.

He can park in front of it.

There's usually a fair bit of roadside parking available too.

Okey doke. I'll either aim to get in earlier or just drag a bag round with me. I've been doing that for years whenever I go out with Craster anyway, ho ho.

What time are festivities starting in central Manchester then? I'm not reading 35 pages.

Seriously, though. If we do end up anywhere loud, and there aren't ladies grinding on me, I'll spend the entire time on my phone as I really, really can't filter out background noise.
