Alternatively, Trooper could actually just come to Derby for the weekend and save everyone a detour.

Kate here (no way am I calling myself Mrs T). I wanted to put that on the original menu but a lot of my friends thought it was a bit to much of an acquired taste. I'm working on making some specialty and themed gift boxes to sell though and one of the is going to be a spiced box, chocolate and chilli, ginger, cinnamon that sort of thing.

Hello! Get your friends to try a Lindt chilli chocolate bar maybe, they're amazing and not over the top heat wise at all. Ginger and cinnamon sound superb too.

Just come to London, get a load of chocolates by Paul A Young (best chocolatier going), and copy them in cupcake form.

:D

I had some chilli chocolate for Christmas that didn't even have any chilli in it, bizarrely.

Just come to Scotland, observe the deep fried marsbar tradition, and work that into a cupcake method.

!!!!!!!

I think I would die of chocolate overload if I were the MD of that company. The salted caramels are just out of this world, and some of the other kooky ones are also great.

And now you've said that, I have a shopping list for you...

Business cards have arrived. 7 and 5 tier cupcake stands on order, flyers on order.

Once we have those all here, made, photographed, put on the website etc... then we are good to go! :D

The card fits in with the flyer quite well, there is a definite "brand" we are working towards at the moment!

Considering this has all been done on basically zero budget, I don't think it has worked out too badly!
I've done a very limited google adwords campaign for the next 2 weeks, and we shall see what happens...

on the front page of the flyer, you have a picture of the inside of the oreo cake, while I like the oreo cake, it isn't immediately obvious what it is, and in fact looks a little strange for a cupcake.

Also, if you want to post me a few flyers, (or email me the poster) I can put them up at my work, which is based in Watford - we have a few people who come in from MK.

That's a point, it doesn't mention location. I know Milton Keynes is the centre of the universe, but still..

Also: any chance you can say "Corporate Functions" or similar, rather than just "Corporate"? It smacks of "Electricals"

Posting them would be a bit better, if you are using a decent printer, because I would just be able to print them out at work, so possibly not to the same standard. (Also less chance of me getting in trouble)

Alternatively, I am at the quiz on Wednesday so when you bring cupcakes to the quiz (which by the way would be a great marketing campaign if accompanied with flyers) bring some flyers with you. :D

True, and that was kinda intentional, these flyers are intended to be put up in local shops, supermarkets, businesses etc... and handed out when we go to local boot sales, market stalls, wedding fairs etc... So location is predefined by where we will be and is intended to just generate website hits and phone calls.

Add to that, if we do work out a way to send in the post for a reasonable cost, then location is unnecessary. :D

I doubt the flyers will be here by wednesday (much much cheaper to send the artwork away and get it printed and posted back, than any local same day place!) But if they are I shall bring some.

Fair enough, I just meant for reassurance of those audiences that the flyer is actually in the right place. Personally I'd scan for that automatically - and I'd see the local phone code so, yeah, OK.

This topic makes me sick! With envy :'( I want this to be my job....

Good luck guys, it all looks very professional anyway, which is good when trying to attract business!

Put the flyers in places where there will be lots of women. Bridal houses, health centres (especially maternity/post natal ones), get them in to the schools too when they reopen.

Baby showers, bridal showers, weddings, Christenings and 1st birthday parties are big business these days, judging by some of my friends facebook pages.

People will pay loads for awesome looking stuff if kids are involved, especially mothers. Kids party cupcakes would be ace.
