We have booked, but travelodge appear to have a £10 sale on right now, so the server is really busy. However, this hotel doesn't appear to be in the sale, so there's no rush to try and get it cheap, or beat everyone else to it (when I say it isn't still going cheap, it is still £40 as Mali said).

Theere's a £10 a room sale on, so booking Bedford is tricky. It won't let me do it yet.

How big's the garden? I'll bring a one man tent if needs be. Otherwise I'm more than happy to sleep in the bath/on Mr Dave/in a car.

I am up for this and would be fine with either hotel or slumming it. Or even driving back home, though obviously it would be nice to be able to partake in beerage.
