I have played 21/40 games on this list, but only completed eight of them - the shame of it!

Caveats:
I have removed duplicates on other platforms, so it counts if you've played it on another (eg, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 was released on PlayStation 2, PlayStation, Game Boy Color, GameCube, Xbox, Game Boy Advance, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 64 and Mac OS X!).
I have also discounted compilations, such as the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition and the Orange Box.

I've played all but Perfect Dark, NFL 2K1, Out of the Park Baseball 2007 and Madded NFL 2003. I didn't play Soul Calibur on the DreamCast, so I don't know if that counts.

I've played a couple of the OOTP games. They're good, but not 95+ good. I wouldn't pay attention to user scores on Metacritic. They're mentalists.

I wasn't particularly into gaming much until the last gen. My completed games are: GTA IV, GTA V, Halo, HL2, HL1, RDR, TLoU and Portal 2.

They are all 360/PS3 games apart from HL1 & 2 which I finished first on PC c2002-2004 before I got a 360. Oh and Halo 1 which I played on a 360 using BC.

Bear in mind that Metacritic doesn't take into account any games older than the PS1 gen, I don't think.

Completed is an odd one - how do you 'complete' Madden or Tekken for example but I'd be happy saying completed around 19

I didn't know this. They should.

I think by the very nature that internet review sites didn't exist during this period, it would be difficult. I suppose they could tot up all scores for print magazines, but this would be very time consuming, and as you can no longer buy these games in the main, rather moot.

I think before you have a top ten, and it was scored 10pts for first, 9 for second, etc.

Should be more weighted towards points for top place.

Depends on whether you think a first place or three 14th places deserves more points.

I played most of them, and i do think the only ones dserving to be on that list are Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4 and Wind Waker.

I finish most games I start, I think. Maybe that's why I have such a huge backlog.

I thought it looked fairly brown when it was released. Only got it later in the orange box, and thought it ok but not exactly awe inspiring.
