I love a good mash-up, when two songs mingle together in perfect harmony. Here are a few:

Lady GaGa vs Journey (one of my favourite mashups)

Miley Cyrus vs Biggie

Snow Patrol vs MGMT (ignore the bad intro)

Bieber vs Slipknot!

GaGa vs Taylor Swift... the video alone is awesome, especially the author's desire to have them kiss!

Game mashups are popular too!

Mariah Carey vs Sonic

Lady GaGa vs Sonic (yes, a lot of them are Sonic)

the infamous... Earthworm Smith

Finally... sometimes they uncover things.

For example, Lady Antebellum and The Alan Parsons Project?

Or... did Michael Jackson really do the soundtrack for Sonic 3?

If you've found any awesome mashups, please share them!

Enya smashed into Prodigy always worked far better than it had any right to.

I've put it on here before, but do a search for ac/dc and ghostbusters..

I wonder who comes up with these?

I do like mash-ups, but one has to wonder what kind of mind finds itself pondering questions such as 'Could it be the case that Stayin' Alive and Another Brick In The Wall would sound good if bonded together at the DNA level.....?'

(That BeeGees/Floyd mashup is particularly awesome.)

In that case I retract my statement, without actually doing anything about it, of course.

That kicks large amounts of ass.

It's nice when human beings do cool stuff for simple sensory pleasures without hurting anyone or anything else.

We're incredibly and dangerously fucking good at blowing everything up, but we're far better when we're just being creative and fun-loving.

You should come to the quiz.

Everyone should always come to the Quiz. They have a mash-ups round.

The best ones always seem to be a meaty guitar riff mixed with some cheesy pop

I'm no music scholar, but mashups are possible due to the repeating patterns that permeate through western music. Practically all of the music of the last century is based off the same few chords and beat patterns.

Lady Gaga vs Brian Ice because Lady Gaga isn't camp enough.

Edit: come to think of it we made this ages and ages ago and only got round to uploading it. Adele Vs Aphex Twin.

It's awful. However, I almost pissed myself laughing when post-op transexual Annie kicked it.

I don't know either song, so it just sounds like a not particularly interesting song.

It needs someone skilled to tweak it because it sounds like it should flow smoothly together, but instead it's two songs colliding heavily every few seconds.

Good timing with that one! It's Merry Christmas Charlie Brown was on the other night. AUGH!

This guy is one of my favourite DJs on EvE Radio (Jus J4ck) and he loves his mashups. He's got loads of great stuff. This video is great as it lists second by second which songs are being mashed.
