I was thinking just that. I mean, if you've worked out that your endgame here is topping yourself, you effectively remove the entire concept of consequences from everything you do from that point on. And the best you can come up with to do with that is to off some fools at school? That's pretty pathetic, yet it seems to have become the almost de facto teen suicide methodology in the last few years.

At least Bridgend has a sea air of mystery about it.

It is our belief that nobody was misquoted, but the story was undeniably inappropriate. It has upset the young people we named and caused great distress to their parents.

They still don't get it, do they? It's not about upsetting people. It's about somehow thinking that you get to make a 'news' story out of teenagers being normal teenagers, despite some weird idea you have that they must be somehow comporting themselves as 'victims' instead.

But that's my point. They shouldn't be apologising for distressing people, but instead for writing a meaningless non-story.

Y'kna how you can go to certain libraries and read newspapers from yesteryears? Do they even bother saving today's catastophising bags of shite journalism anymore? I'd like to present my son with the front page of the Daily Sport that was printed on the day he was born.
