Anyone feel like helping me out with another IE8 woe?
I have a computer that logs into a server using Windows authentication and the username and password is saved. I want to get the username and password from that computer, and apply it to another computer on the same network. The aim is that the second computer can then log in to the same server without ever having to enter a username or password.
From reading around, the passwords are stored in either HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\Storage2 or in My Computer > Documents and Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Credentials.
Both are encrypted, but that's ok, because I would be either moving a reg key straight into the other computer or copying a folder (I hoped).
However, when searching for my stored logon I deleted all the reg keys and all the credentials folders for every profile, and when I went into IE8 it still logged me in to the server without prompting.
Where is the password stored?
