Evening brainy bunch.

I have been dipping my toe into Excel VBA recently to try and automate a work task. All is going well and as well as learning a new skill I've been able to tidy up some of my estimating tools which will be a huge help.

However, I'm stuck and could really do with a hand so kind of hoping someone can give me a steer.

I have a Userform with three Combo Boxes and I'd like the second and third Combo Boxes to be dependant upon the choice made in the first and then second (I think it's called cascading?);

For example:

Combo Box 1: Gas Systems | Oil Systems

Combo Box 2: [Derived from choice in Combo box 1]

Gas Systems: Gas Dehydration | Gas Fractionation

Oil Systems: Oil Separation | Oil Treatment

Combo Box 3: [Derived from choice in Combo Box 2]

Gas Dehydration: GD 1 | GD 2 | GD3
Gas Fractionation: GF 1| GF 2| GF 3
Oil Systems: OS 1 | OS 2 | OS 3
Oil Treatment: OT 1 | OT 2 | OT 3

This is a simplified example but basically I need to know how the VBA for the above works in the Userform. I think it has something to do with named ranges but I'm stumped now. I've seen examples of doing it directly into a Worksheet but that's not what I'm after unfortunately.

Any help would be wonderful I can crack on then as most of the estimating tool is based on Primary Classes with related Secondary Classes and I'd really like the engineers to stop fudging things.

Over to you Hive Mind

I found the answer in the end.

Didn't quite work the way I wanted it to but it means that I can crack on with my work.

I used this example as the basis for my solution

I'm sorry we were no help at all, but at least you got there in the end.
