Yes, probably. Although I wouldn't get too excited, she was remarkably calm at the last track day I did.

It was my first track day and it was a sprint track, not really much opportunity for high speed frolics on it.

Although I'll be driving around Silverstone (National circuit) I'll quite possibly be slower as this time there'll be other cars on the track with me at the same time - it was supposed to be a GT4OC only sesh, but now the Alfa club have been mixed in with us due to lack of numbers.

I'm really quite nervous about driving at high speeds with other cars on the track around me. On the sprint I at least knew that any car on the track with me was at least 30 seconds behind.

My mates sister had one of them. It felt like a Silvercross pram with an outboard motor.

They're also really good at protecting their occupants in the event of a rear-end collision. Here's the proof.

These have been recommended as a good trackday camera if you're into filming that sort of thing.

And here is an example video of the camera mounted on my rear windscreen. Not particularly exciting, but it's surprisingly stable - even over some rough cobblestones in the town centre towards the end.

Because it's not working today. Fuck.

I transferred to my other bank account fine, so I assume it's the shared account's bank being a tosser.

Oh no, now I can't log into internet banking at all. Fuck.

Rubbish. Considering how much banks charge when customers have a problem, they should compensate us for when they have a problem. Especially considering how much they try to convert everyone to online banking.

Grim...'s handy hints #1 (in a series of 1):

When looking at the photos of the mothers and babies that are on the wall at nursery, don't say to the chap next to you "It's a shame Jack's father dropped him off on photo day" in a "I'd do things to Jacks' mother" kind of way without first checking that the chap you're talking isn't the chap in the photo with Jack.

My boss can log into his account at the same bank.

I wonder if all the "gah, transfer you fuck" attempts totalling about £7k got queued up on the back end instead of actually failing (as it told me), and I'm suddenly hugely overdrawn.

The council want to put speed humps all around the streets where we live. Apparently we've now received a "traffic calming" proposal.

I've asked Charl to prepare a "kick them in the balls" counter-proposal.

Edit: Apparently, getting the 200 yards from the main road to our house will mean going over 5 of the fucking things. Road-width means the Octy won't be smashing its sump off on them, but I bet the M3 grounds out on every single one of them, even at 5mph. Naturally, the exhaust booming caused by accelerating from near-standstill at the 5 points (plus existing junction) will make the neighbours hate me.

"Dear The Council, you owe me: 4 tyres, wheels, shocks and springs, 1 exhaust and manifold, 1 driveshaft and 1 chassis."

If speeding is so injurous on the streets in question, put fucking SPECS up, not car-ruining hazards in the street.

It'll be even louder when the exhaust gets ripped off ;)

I feel your pain there chap. The area I live in is riddled with those car wrecking little fuckers and I'm worried we're going to get more, simply because twats tear up and down the terraced streets (50mph+ on my street) and becasue it's easier than any kind of reactive traffic enforcement it'll only be a matter of time before they're on the road outside my house.

You have my sympathy, they were responsible for most of the creaking noises that my last car developed.

I'm currently pissed off over many things.

Also, it's never a good idea to think you're being clever and try and park near a mosque on a Friday lunch time.

The Benefits Agency have been hassling my mum for some years now after they got the impression she'd been claiming some sort of benefit whilst my younger brother was going through college, despite telling her beforehand that she had every reason to claim these.

They've sent her letters saying she owes them X amount, usually a thousand quid or so, and she's always given them a ring or sent a letter back explaining that they're bullshitting. They stop hassling her.

Then every year or so after that, they send her another letter, claiming she owes them Y amount, usually higher than X despite her claims stopping years ago.

They sent her another letter a couple of months ago, now claiming she owes them £9k. They won't tell her how they arrived at that figure. So she wrote to our local MP, and he's, apparently, had firm words with the benefits agency and told them to GTFF. Ace.
