Presumably as you are registered on an individual instance, there’s a risk if that closing and you losing your identity?

I know I've found it odd that weird company's promote days old tweets about games of football that have already happened.

By WTF is the Home Office promoting a tweet about that Talk Sport released before England played the USA a week ago?

I don't use twitter much, but I have noticed in the last few days the Promoted Tweets in my timeline have been proper crazy. Strange conspiracy theory gibberish, pictures of cats with Korean captions, and a whole load of shitty "business" tweets that read like LinkedIn spam. Very few actual adverts for real companies.

Yeah, me too. I thought it was because I'm so assiduous at muting ads, so it's all that's left, but there are a lot of them. Maybe it's cheaper for people to advertise, so individuals are? Whatever the reason, it's a pile of nothingness.

I'm the same. I still mute and block every ad I see and will continue to do so.

This does mean I see some really weird ads on there.

I’ve seen people everywhere saying this. Isn’t it jjst that most reputable advertisers have left the platform so that’s all that’s left? I have no source for this but it had been my assumption.

Yeah, I'd assumed it was something like that! However, it does seem like the quality of the ads I'm seeing has really dropped off a cliff in the last week. If this is the best that Twitter can come up with to show me, they really are in trouble.

Huh, it's gone a bit different now - I'm not seeing ANY ads on the web interface. Maybe even A&D Funny Memes don't think I'm worth advertising to.

They even got the three dots (even if the formatting is a little off)

I'd love to be able to film stuff like this at the drop of a hat but I don't live near a nice railway, a nice forest, have good weather or the inclination to do it.

Pretty much stuffed really.

It's excellent but I have to object that You Are My Sunshine is absolutely not a nursery rhyme
