Or something else to relax you :hat:

More seriously you really should not let your commute make you angry , and yeah if your late your late - if you overtake where there is not space and get smushed by something coming the other way then you might not be here (or if some idiot then jumps out in front of you and you smush them then thats not a good place to be either)

I used to be like that. Then I got an electric car - set off 5 minutes earlier, go with the flow, listen to the radio... Much better for the blood pressure.

The rules of Rock-paper-scissors-lizard-Spock are as follows:

Scissors cut paper
Paper covers rock
Rock crushes lizard
Lizard poisons Spock
Spock smashes scissors
Scissors decapitate lizard
Lizard eats paper
Paper disproves Spock
Spock vaporizes rock
Rock crushes scissors

To post in the style of maliA:

1) Can you make a snarky one liner? YES, do so, then goto 3, NO go to 2
2) can you say something positive? YES, do so, then goto 3. NO go to 4
3)Is there an opportunity to post a picture of yourself?
4) is there a chance for an unrelated anecdote? YES, do so, goto 3 NO, goto pub

There's a really badly written chinese search bot that seems to make up the majority of guest users over the last few months.

It's not really doing any harm. Also, it's important to keep our South Asian profile up.

I'm very wary of the unknown lurking around bends and of coming traffic, especially here, it could be a bike coming the other way at 100 or a tractor on my side going 20. I've seen the mess that shit makes so I'm not keen to be involved. It was more the fact I was doing it 200m before a 40 limit and half a mile from work so I was gaining absolutely nothing at all, except venting my annoyance, and I think people who do that are generally cocks.

Pretty much. You never know what's going to be around that next corner, and if you're driving past your stopping distances, you're going to ruin your (and likely somebody else's) day.

Oh, and just get out of bed earlier. It's easy enough. It's not like you're achieving anything during those five minutes…

I've been to Geneva once. On a French (I know) exchange, when I was 15 or so.

Mrs K and I stopped in at Geneva on the way from the South of France to Paris (long route, eh). It was nice enough, if a little empty feeling. The main thing I remember is how hard it was to find an ATM and nearly being run over by a tram.

I just had a vision of him standing in Geneva shouting 'Go faster, you little neutral bastards!' in some entirely unrelated motoring incident...

8) this sickness and diarrhoea bug has got so bad that The Boy's school is closing whole block of classrooms tomorrow and is asking that we don't send them in. The hospital has it as well and is asking people not to go up there if at all possible. The Girl and I had it but The Boy has shown no signs.

It's the Legion of QS's's's checking up on you. I sounded the Horn of Gohnorrea and they answered my call. :p

Without dragging all that lot up;
1.) I lurk. Lots. I'm shy.
2.) I'm a QS in charge of many jobs and I'm fucking awesome at it.
3.) JCT is a pain in the chuffer, as is NEC, FIDIC, IChemE and bespoke contracts. One contracts doesn't fit all and that's the bit that idiot clients forget.
4.) @Flis Re: swearing, not true. It's better when you're a client's QS as no one expects you to call someone a shyster cunt across a table but the reaction is great when you do it. Also, £32k by lying? There's the difference between the two sides then I guess.
5.) Now I'm off to lurk more and count down the minutes to Skyrim!

Where I used to work, the office directly across the road infact, the top floor appears to have been turned into an open plan "dance space". At home time, when it's dark, I see silhouetted ballet dancers pirouetting around where the vending machines used to be. It's quite nice.

Also in other where-I-work news, two competing carwashes have recently opened up, in the same week, on opposite sides of the road outside The Asdas. They are currently locked in a price-war death-spiral.

Looks like ios5 has broken "disable data roaming". I was in the states at the weekend and it has used 3G to receive photo messages when I didn't have wifi. Annoyed, but not enough to do anything about it.
