I actually listed Sega Rally for the same price on the second post on this page, and I think Lost is only a tenner elsewhere, but I have never blogged it since everything I have heard about it makes it sound awful.

Good call on PGR3 though ;D

i think the lost for a tenner was a currys instore thing but its rare you actually get them, I guess an extra quid for delivery isnt bad, its pretty shit though aye.

Don't know if this is the sort of bargain anyone is after, but George at Asda have got a shedload of clothes at half price or less. I just managed to get a pair of kickflare 70's jeans for £4, and they even had them in extra long! (jeans are always, always miles too short for me). Also, a pretty little summer dress for £4 - they have loads of mens and kids stuff too, but I didn't look to detail what I'm afraid.

Bargains all instore.

Yes and no. Next to none of the games are Pokemon games in the "RPG" sense. But most/all of the games happen to star Pokemon.

So the race game has you controlling Pikachu but it's still just a racing game.

Some good preowned stuff in Gamestation at the moment. I bought:
    Assassin's Creed (2 for £20)
    Crackdown (4 for £20)
    The Darkness (4 for £20)
Rockstar Table Tennis (4 for £20)

I got that lot for £25 (blokey cut me a minor deal).

Dead Rising is still in the 2 for £30 deal! Will that game ever get cheaper? I'm a bit scared of it anyway though.

So, my "no new games until Fallout 3" is out the window then.

Roughly half the time I'm playing Rock Band, I am with people. At those times I am not open to invites sadly. The rest of the time it's just my hideous drumming addiction to blame.

Fucker! The bloke in my gamestation wouldn't "cut me a deal". I wanted something like 6 games out of the 4 for £20 and 1 game out of the 2 for £20 so I asked if I could take all 7 for £40 but he said "it doesn't work like that", even though working it out they would have got exactly the same amount of money as they would've if they sold the games in the proper deals.

What an arse! It probably helps that I spend a lot of money and time in there, or at least I did when I worked in the town centre. I started off with one 2-for-£20 and two 4-for-£20s, which they were happy to charge me £20 for -- I've done this a few times before in there. Then the guy couldn't find Table Tennis in their great big drawer o' stock. I chose Crackdown instead, and the guy was getting it out of the drawer when the boss pointed out Table Tennis is filed under R (for Rockstar) and not T. He then offered me the four games for £25. Sounded good to me.

To defend the staff, they're technically NOT supposed to do stuff like that, a manager following the letter of law would bollock them for that.

If they do allow it, you have a GS with a manager fitted with the rare optional "half a brain" module, and even then he's risking his idiot DM spotting it one day.

I can believe it. I only know they do it because he offered it to me once; I came up to the counter with two 2-for-£20 games and one of them wasn't in stock. I said there was nothing else in the offer I wanted and he told me to get two from the 4-for-£20 instead. I was surprised they could do that at the time; I am unsurprised to learn that, technically, they cannot.

My policy was simply that I didn't ever offer to do a deal like that, but I'd do it if a customer actually asked. It may be different now, but when I was there, it was stupidly easy to hide those sort of things in the paperwork.

Sadly, as I found out in my last few days with the company, some Gamestation managers are complete and utter wankers. To staff and customer alike.
