Says who? Droids are commonplace, as are moon sized battlestations. The trade federation was able to churn out billions of robots for their own use whilst still making money.

And, as you've already pointed out, the only way the rebels blew them up was by using the old "ropes around the legs" trick, which has been used by everyone from Charlie Chaplin to Buck the Weasel.

Dude, the revels invented that strategy a long time ago and Chaplin copied it.

Yeah, but Kenobi didn't remember R2D2 and C3PO, so I wouldn't trust his memory

They weren't clones in ESB. The cloning facilities were all destroyed some time following Episodes 1,2,3. That's why they were the clone wars.

I don't think I'd trust a funny old man living by himself in a desert who kept muttering about mystical influences and sand people, though.

In fact, I'd totally be the Skywalker that stayed on tatooine to look after the moisture farm.

Sadly, that's the risk you take if you let strangers off the Internet into your home. No doubt 99% of people who use that service aren't bad, but there's still an inherent risk in doing it.

Still, let's hope their insurance will cover it.

Actually on that note, as I was getting ready to leave this morning the doorbell rang. A man had come round to fix locks onto the doors of each room. I'm not very happy about this, as to lock my door would be to suggest that I didn't trust the people I share the house with, or that they didn't trust me.

I've just suggested that the company ceases to employ the man who comes around once every three months to clean the keyboards and just purchase new keyboards four times a year. My other helpful suggestion was "Don't give (Fund X - Ed) any money, they are clearly idiots".

I've done fuck all today, so far. For some reason, a lady at work keeps mentioning her her husband to me. I think she's reassuring ehrself that she doesn't really fancy me.

It'd save £1,000 a year. I reckon the man earns c£90,000pa from doing this.

:) Sounds about right.

But seriously, new keyboards every 4 months? I'm no eco warrior, but that hurts my Captain Planet gland.

I've also helpfully suggested that scanning reports into the computer, shredding the original, then printing them out might be somewhat silly.

What happens to the old ones? Are they incinerated to prevent cross-contamination?

The old reports? Men come once a month and remove all the shredded stuff and take it away. Presumably they burn it.

Maybe I should have just told my last employers they could save £35,000 a year by firing my boss and instead buying a sack of potatoes and a random email generator.

Damn it Mali, where were you when I needed your evil powers :(

Ordinarily, but as I've had the manflu for the last 6 weeks (SIX FUCKING WEEKS!), I wandered into town and bought a star wars toy instead, ostensibly for the kids but mainly for me.
