I deliberately didn't say that because it's a very lame defence following on from a racist/sexist/homophobic comment - 'Yes but I was good friends with a black lesbian transgender person at Uni.'

I just don't think my comment was homophobic and it certainly wasn't intended to be so.

Just to be clear, are you saying that Mac OS X cannot support static IPs or system-wide HTTP proxy configuration, and that this makes it an inferior OS?

Are you suggesting that gay/metrosexual/women use inferior things?

I've just boned a duck for the first time. I have come to the conclusion that they are genetic freaks.

This may be because I wildly approached it as if it were a chicken without really thinking. However, if I had sought guidance from the internet beforehand, rather than a confused look afterwards, I may have ended up more confused

Quote:
Your goal is to end up with one large piece of essentially boneless turkey meat; the finished product will contain only the tip end of each leg bone and the first two joints of each wing. You will end up with one piece of completely boneless duck meat and one piece of completely boneless chicken meat.

Do we have a home brew thread? If not there should be one.

After working with a company that sells such things I found it quite interesting.

Danes are ace value. I think it's because ALL of them smoke, ALL the time.
I once stopped at a camping place in Denmark, went for a walk in the evening and stumbled upon a natural amphitheatre type thing in the woods, *which was full of actual Viking Danes in full costume*, enacting some saga or other, sort of midsummer-nights-dream-ish. It was highly trippy and despite not understanding a word, the atmosphere was electric. Brilliant stuff.

In reply to a post that MaliA might have now deleted, for IT companies it can be up and down. In the 1987 stock market crash Amstrad had 400 million quid wiped off it's value in one day.

Considering LordSurAlun owned a huge chunk of the company personally, I don't imagine he would have been at his happiest that day.

This is why physicists are silly. Who spends their time trying to work out how to fit a ladder moving at near-relativistic speeds into a garage also moving at near-relativistic speeds? All the world's problems will be solved when we work out how to fit more shite into our garages. As long as the garages are moving (?!) really, really fast.
