Still, does "not obeying instructions" now justify a beating? If it didn't happen to him it's certainly happened to others, by the sounds of it.

"Drop the gun!"

Again, where's the physical threat to police in this case?

Er... The gun?

The wheelchair kid? Had a gun? Was suspected of having a gun? Anything at all mentioned about a gun?

He entered an area between the protest and the police. Presumably, the police were instructed to view any incursion into this gap as a possible threat.

Nice breakdown of the vote here:

http://politicalbetting.blogspot.com/20 ... s-for.html

Quote:
English MPs were 311-209 in favour of the measures with 8 absent or abstaining, a hefty majority of 102. Yet the overall margin of victory was slashed to 21 by MPs from Scotland (majority of 45 against), Wales (24) and Northern Ireland (12).

Stupid system.

In short form, because we're a unitary state with an inconsistent and arbitrary level of devolved regional power.

On a sort of related note, does anyone know if it's possible for someone ove 25, say someone who was 35, and had taken 2 years of a degree, and 2 years of grant, but no student loan, to be able to get a loan to help in perhaps a part time course?

Or, as my limited research suggests, is this only accessible to under 25s with no prior university study?

These are your options

You should be able to get a career development loan, but it depends on the course I think :)

Look up custom comics by the same guy, KC Green. People requested specific things, and he drew them. There are a handful that I have dotted about my various hard drives, and when I catch sight of one unexpectedly, I still laugh like an idiot years later. The man's insane. :luv:

Edit: Here.

Search for 'wasps' for my favourite.

For as long as this course exists, I will believe in tuition fees. At almost any level.

Ah, jealousy. Do the dancing accountants look down on you?

Dancers tend to have good figures.

MrsA expressed some concern about the nephews not being able to go to university, due to costs. I suggested they get the army to pay for it, as otherwise they'll never end up leaving their home town.

I dunno about you, but I would definitely pay more for an accountant who danced.

But does he dance while working? This is an important matter.

He works it while he dances, if that counts.

I've seen him shake his booty while on the job, certainly.
