Why, is it giving rain or are you getting a divorce....?

It's my sister in laws birthday so we're going to laserblast then to our friends for drinks and out on the town dressed up as Goths, rawk :metul:

Sunday will be spent recovering and then I'll have to do some work on Monday, boooo-urns.

Heh, no. The mother in law has decided now that she isn't sufficiently recovered from her hip replacement to have a load of people over after all. Never mind.

Bah. The comedian chappie is no longer coming, as he also works in a theatre and needs to help with something there.

Then seeing Scott Pilgrim vs The World on Monday.

Bugger knows what I'm doing.

However, I love Bank Holidays. Also, the delightful timing of this upcoming one means I'll be having my third four-day week in a row. Hoorah!

What Bank Holiday? Mine was at the start of the month.

Actually, I pick up Mrs P from the airport in about three hours. Then Saturday we drive up to Belfast* for a couple of days of sightseeing, probably taking in the Giants Causeway. Then over to Donegal for a couple more days.

*Two nights, for two people, in the Hilton Templepatrick, for £100. I love Lastminute.com.

Hi5!

I was also meant to have the rest of the week off, but my boss is off sick at the moment and I'm the lunatic they've chosen to run the asylum. Plenty of time for holiday when I'm dead, I suppose.

Er, that's not right.

You're going to keep your chin up, do a weekly shop and maybe watch the Grand Prix. You'll keep to normal patterns and act as if nothing is wrong.

If you are caught, however, you'll take this service pistol and do the right thing.

You know how much I dislike paperwork.

On your way.

And tell the boys to keep the line straight.

Tonight - Watched 'Scott Poilgrim vs The World', which was amazing and one of the best films I have seen in years. Also watched Villa crash out of Europe like idiots

Tomorrow - Work, but with lunchtime drinks with mates, and post-work drinks with Beexers.

Saturday - Sleep in, go out to comedy club with friends

Sunday - Sleep in, go out for more drinks in the evening

Monday - Sleep all day whilst clutching at liver and moaning.

Er, no plans as such but if the weather's nice I'll be out with the family on the beach/park/zoo and taking some snaps inbetween and maybe go to the decent* circus that's in town. Then later in the week it's a Thai meal for our anniversary on Thursday and we have Friday off for Mrs Zs Baba 2 scan!
:metul: Three day week next week! :metul:

*compared to the complete laugh/cry fest we saw early in the month.

If you fancy some MW2 or something one night, I'm sure we can help entertain you.

We won't be doing much this weekend, because, as is traditional for bank holidays, at least two out of the four of us are ill. That notwithstanding, we may well head off to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and see the animals, and go on the mini steam train (literally WOOT).

It's my grand daughter's first birthday today, so we'll be having a party on Sunday (bar-b-cue if it's sunny, buffet if not) and she's having her first sleep-over with us tomorrow night which should be interesting. We'll probably be in therapy on Monday.

Judging by my bank balance this morning, I'll be doing very little this weekend. Apart from popping over to visit GJ and Joans, I can foresee more Bejeweled 2, as I crawl towards level 280 (reached level 100 last night...woo!).

Still.. I have lots of wine in the house at least.

It's just a major pain in the arse now. It still hurts a bit, but the inconvenience far outweighs any of that. Just been for my third check up in as many weeks and the "doctor" said I can have my pot off in three weeks, and told me to book and appointment.

Went to reception and they couldn't book me in for three weeks because the "doctor" is on fucking holiday that week, so I have to wait four weeks. A WHOLE EXTRA WEEK IN A STINKING INCONVENIENT HOBBLING AROUND POT, BECAUSE THE FUCKING DOCTOR IS ON HOLIDAY. I wasn't going to moan about this here because I'm so fucking livid right now, but there, I said it. FUCKING CUNTS. ARRRRGGGHHH!! FFUUUUUUUU!!!!

A fucking week of my life hobbling around unnecessarily. Seriously, I can't even describe how much I'm fuming. I need to get a job ASAP. I can't hobble into an interview with a stinking pot on my leg.

The reason I used "doctor", by the way, is because I have my appointments made with a doctor, Dr. Tulloch, let's call him. However, every time I've been to an appointment with him (three times so far), I've seen one of his "assistants", who may or may not actually be doctors. So imagine my rage when I'm told that I can't book and appointment in three weeks because Tulloch is on holiday, even though I wouldn't be fucking seeing the man himself anyway. What the FUCK? WHAT THE FUCK? RAGHHHH!

You would've thought. I very nearly raged at the receptionist woman until my girlfriend reminded me it wasn't her fault. I like to think it fucking was, though. She could've got me in with another doctor, I know she fucking could've. I'm gonna ring up next week when I'm not as likely to shout things.
