Have you dismantled the trouser press yet?

Surely you mean "have you tried pressing something other than trousers yet?"

Derren Brown is on at 10pm on Channel 4, peoples. FYI.

My car informed me after JC called it on my phone after meeting Kern.

Some classics there I'm sure you'll agree.

Mr Chris have you tried Tanqueray Rangpur? It is deeeeelish. I would recommend not driving a car after drinking it though or you'd get arrested a bunch of times.

I think I preferred it when Derren Brown just did cool magic tricks. The inspirational 'change someone's life' shtick is getting a bit dull now.

So, Derren Brown...

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Who believed it? I usually love Derren Brown and never really doubt that his 'tricks' are genuine, especially since he usually explains the truth behind it. From quite early on tonight though I felt like this was very staged and fake feeling. Less than halfway through I even said that I felt like the whole thing was a fake leading up to an overriding message. Then in the final scene he says "the date is 8/9/10 and the time is 11.12. Someone else's journey begins right now". So was it all a fake leading to an inspirational message for the viewer (whether subconcious or otherwise)?

Eh? Has Chrome updated today or something? I don't remember updating it, but the default theme is a different colour and there are some subtle UI changes all of a sudden...

edit: http://chrome.blogspot.com/2010/09/back ... oogle.html

Apparently they updated it a week ago. Does it auto update without consent after a week or something? Unless Mrs Bulge has clicked "accept", I don't know what the deal is. Hmm.

I went in the settings last week and a pop uo said there was an update, so no auto update for me.

Yeah... way below his usual standards that. Felt fake throughout.

I have an Ikea mattress, so can only choose their beds, but their product line is very uninspiring at the moment. I'm leaning towards this with this.

My other half has got herself a job in Bedford hospital, which is only a 40 min train ride from my place, so she is finally moving down to live with me :D

Super happy for the most part, already mourning my occasional evening bad company 2 marathon ;) Have ordered some Turtle Beach headphones and will be moving the xbox into the spare room and using it with my super-nice-but-tiny-compared-to-the-main-tv monitor :(

I don't suppose anybody knows if it is at all possible to run my xbox through the new iMac I have? It's supposed to be able to be used as a monitor, but as with everything Apple, it isn't as simple as just plugging in a video cable. Initial research shows it is possible but not cheap.

Hey, your lobster has moved in, drop £400 on a decent mattress, they last at least 10 years. You won't regret it. When you come to visit next I'm going to take Danielle to the Camden branch.

They are utter bastards for that. That'd be like having proprietary sized kitchen appliances or something.

It's only a few inches difference. Not enough to cause a problem for sheets, but enough that a regular mattress won't fit in the frame.

IKEA mattresses are incredibly awesome. We have one with a built-in memory foam layer and it's properly superb.
