I think leather flying jacket, jodphurs, knee high leather boots with gaiters, handlebar moustache and overstarched white silk scarf (bullet holes optional) will convince them you are the man for the job. I really did have a long trip on the bus yesterday. I got on the bus at 1554 to go to Oxford. It got as far as the town centre, and then stopped. The driver said I could wait for 20 minutes or stay on the bus and go to Arncott and back, before heading on to Oxford. As it was raining, I decided to stay on the bus and away we went. We got as far as Bullingdon Prison, which I've never been to before, via a tour of the various army bases in and around Arncott. It was quite exciting, as I was on the top deck so had a pretty good view. I arrived in Oxford at 1730 in the end. For £4.40 it was better than seeing The Blood Red Shoes as they are shit. |

The hours are much more like what I do now (9-5.30 with the occasional stay to 7 or 8 o clock) rather than the 10 hours a day average she thought, with the aded bonus of once-a-month-or-two overseas travel (US, Europe, Far East) |

My mate gone done written a book that is published and for sale, soon Quote: At 28 years of age, Charlie Carroll finds himself teaching English to nice children in a nice school. It's the perfect job - so why is he so bored? Determined to find out why a staggering 50% of British teachers quit within five years of qualifying, he gives up his safe, steady life, buys a rusty old VW camper and spends the next year on the road, travelling around the country's most deprived areas and teaching problem students in Britain's toughest schools. While he fears for his safety, Charlie finds glimmers of optimism in the worst of areas. That's pretty pro. |

Mildly annoying things #6792 The tear-strip on a packet of biscuits always opens the pack at around the fifth biscuit, making eating the entire five biscuits that fall before the opening the only reasonable thing to do (so the rest all stay neatly in the packet, of course). |

I always find I need to eat about ten, or else there's no way to reseal the packet by twisting it. |

If Mr Dense Flatmate has bought a MacBook Pro for over the odds from PC World, when he could've waited a day or two and had my girlfriend use her student discount on it, to save him money and stuff. Anyone know if it's worth me and my girlfriend advising him to return the computer to PC World for a refund in order to follow the cheap option? Or are PC World rather tight when it comes to returns? |
