Yup! Note how you can snap even quite thick steel wire (like fence wire) easily, by bending it back and forth several times so that it heats up - keep on bending it and it will snap - stop bending it and it will "set" and be very difficult to bend again once it's cooled.

(b) she's quite pretty in an odd sort of way; and

Yeah, quite. And the continual casting of aspersions on anyone criticisng Israel as being anti-semitic grew old quite a while ago.

Jesus wept.

Given how much trouble we have getting our bins collected by Veolia or whoever, I can't imagine how bad things would be if our county council outsourced everything else as well. The end users end up being the victims of "work to rule" contractors and contractual disputes between the provider and the council.

This is a very bad idea indeed.

And if they think they're actualy going to save money by doing this then they really have no idea at all. Every outsourcing ever, whether to the private or public sector as a customer, ends up with the provider taking the piss.

Of course, it'll be awesome for our business of course, as we advise on a lot of outsourcings. But still. BAD IDEA.
