How does the Portal boardgame work?

You have to collect cake and kill test subjects.

Have a wonderful time, all! I do miss you guys and your squishable faces :’(

@goddess Jasmine I may have an old copy of Eat, Shoots & Leaves in the bookcase. I’m in the middle of sorting the bookcases out as we are decorating. Would you like me to check to see if I still have it? I can post it along to you if you’d like it (or did you need it specifically for this weekend?)

Thank you lovely, that's very kind but I do need it ASAP. I've ordered one that should be here tomorrow. :luv:

Oh, darn! I’m glad you’ve got a copy on its way at least.
I am getting quite excited.

Looking forward to many hugs.

On the platform waiting for my 1st train and it's dark and windy!

Looking forward to getting to Derby. Should be there around midday.

To be fair I've done my share of 13hr days this week so I was very keen to get it on as soon as things quietened down yesterday (and apparently despite it being on I've already dealt with a couple of bits this morning.... not that I have problems switching off or anything :S )

Great, thank you!

Don't forget your towels on Friday! (Guess who was lying awake this morning running through a mental checklist...)

Last call for towels (except for Malc, too late for him).
It was too late for malc a long time ago!!

@Joans I can't remember if Jazzy and I talked about stocking up on coffee etc (just remember the practical bits). I don't mind getting some but don't want to buy if you guys have sorted that?
Not sure about stocked up, we'll bring the cafetiere, grinder and some beans as usual, but it probably won't be enough to satisfy everyone's coffee urges so a big tub of instant is probably a good idea.
I don't think we've got anything else communal (other than some Costco snacks), so anything else you can think of, we probably need.

OK no worries, we'll get some from the asdas. Thank yoooou!

On a more personal note, I've had a bit of a sniffle since my flu jab on Tuesday. I don't think I'm ill as I feel well in myself, but I've taken an LFT as a precaution that has come up negative. Nonetheless, I'll understand if people don't want hugs anyway (especially as I gave people actual colds last year :S ).
I've got the sniffles as well. I can risk a hug, reckon

Thinking about a Saturday or Sunday morning jog along the canal again this year if anyone is interested in tootling along with me.

Depends what time. And how fast.
That mostly depends on the severity of my hangover tbh.
Preparing to set off so getting in the mood by replaying the official opening titles:

Such a classic. Although now weirdly want to cut my hair really short again.
There's bound to be a barber in Cowboy Town.

Hmm, me too.
Good news ... the place isn't filled with gas this year.
Also good news... the kitchen is new and shiny

Disconcerting news. There's a lady in a parka looming silently around the place.
Hope all you cottagers have a grand old time!

Fuck the kitchen, has he finally upgraded the TV size?

;)
Are there samosas?
My passenger and I should be there around 3:30 ish, maybe.
I like Joans' new hair

We are on the way, also with a passenger. Definitely not Mali.
Yay! Now on train! Will hit Derby station for 15:35. Is it still cool if I cadge a lift and a supermarket beer run, Kovs? If so PM me yer mobile number so I can keep you posted. x
It's about now that I get FOMO.. I'd be there by now if I didn't have to get the kids from school and wait for the wife to get home.
Same. I'm just sat here pretending to work
We'd be there by now but we decided to do some M6 tourism.
How did you get on the M6?
Trebay is lovely.

I imagine they used the slip road?
It is the wrong way. :)
Don't ask me, I'm not the driver.
