I find it very hard to vote for either of these.

I don't think you've liked any of my songs!

Have you liked any of mine? It would seem we have quite opposite taste.

DerekFME doesn't ever like anyone else's songs, unless it's Souxie and the Banshees :p

To be fair that's all you really need.

I'm not sure to be honest, I'll need to go back and check which ones in the group stage were yours.

Also, I meant to write more in my post above, but didn't have the time, so sorry if it came across a bit brusque...

OK, just be looking at the songs you picked, (not played any yet) I like Voice of the beehive, Joy division, St Ettiene and Human League. Now to play the other songs again as I've forgotten them.

EMpire of Wolves - Like the singer, not so keen on the music, better if it was more "Rocky"

Dirge - like the tune, very repetitive, almost makes you want to add your name to the list of people in the video...

I think I love you - as said I like this band, and I think this is the version i heard first any way.

Fuck the pain away - I quite liked this, but not keen on the word titties, which almost ruined it for me.

The Eternal - Not my favourite Joy Division, but I quite liked it anyway, a tad on the melancholic side, but that's not always a bad thing.

Girl VII - Catchy, bit of a Vogue feel to it when they reel off the tube stations...

Don't go to sleep without me - Sounds like Echobelly or portishead or something, which is a good thing imo.

Marianne - Hadn't heard this HL song before, but I like nearly everything I have heard them do, and this is no exception.

So I pretty much like all of your song choices, I have very broad tastes in music...

Not listened to either song in your knockout round yet, so can't comment on week 9 yet...

Congrats Malc. I decided I didn't want to play it safe with a classic song, so chose a pretty good modern song.

thanks!

I really quite like that song and if it was in another group I probably wouldn have voted for it, but I really love the song I choose, it's one I always put on full volume when it comes on...
