As a sign of defiance and with the upset of not starting B&B 21 I vow to not post in this thread.

*Edit* Well... that didn't last long.

Carry on.

I do generally prefer my shoes when they don't eat meat.

Finding a lump if steak in ones shoe is a bit off putting.

Wooooo! I am drunken!

I am concentrating very hard. Words like "septcemia" and "not guilty" are quite difficult to spell out.

What was weird about tonight: a bunch of the birthday girl's relatives left before I'd even arrived. "They're very young", she said. So, you'd think they were, what, 10? 14? No. They were nineteen. Nineteen years old, and they went home to bed five hours before a bunch of starting-to-tire late twenties folk? Christ. I was never a party person, but at nineteen I was openly ashamed to leave a party on the same day that it started.

Me neither. My brother is one of those shifty vegan types and he goes to great lengths to purchase vegetarian shoes: in other words, acceptable smart footwear made without any materials derived from animals, such as leather.

Of course, I say the guy is my brother, but it's hard to trust a man who doesn't eat meat.

I regularly get requests for vegan yarn recommendations (cotton is quite restrictive and has various properties that mean it is only suitable for certain types of garments and many vegans want a choice other than 100% acrylic for their knits), which I guess is similar.

The online Oxford dictionary gives definition of vegetarian as so:

Quote:
vegetarian

Pronunciation:/vɛdʒɪˈtɛːrɪən/
noun
a person who does not eat meat or fish, and sometimes other animal products, especially for moral, religious, or health reasons
adjective
relating to vegetarians or vegetarianism:
a vegetarian restaurant

Derivatives
vegetarianism
noun

Origin:
mid 19th century: formed irregularly from vegetable + -arian

Therefore I assume that the shoes in that store are for consumption.

I have just looked and all of my shoes are vegan shoes (canvas, felt, rubber ( :!: ) etc). I'm not vegan, they just happen to be so. I love my felt shoes the most, and my canvas high boot rocketdogs (not made of dogs or rockets) with an argyle print on them that I like to think of as my knitting boots.

Hey, that'd be a good game - work out the word from the dictionary pronunciation guide:

vɛdʒɪˈtɛːrɪən = vegatarian, and so on.

Could be, but they left before I'd even arrived. It wasn't even ten yet - a party doesn't start until at least eleven, they should know that by now.

Does it mean that if its DOA then its covered by the warranty and they'll replace the battery? That is just a guess though. I'd ask the seller personally.

Troglodite racist cunt Tory may be facing legal action for being a backward Neanderthal racist bigot shitbag cunt.

Quote:
A Conservative MP has been warned he could face legal action if he refuses to meet constituents who wear burkas or niqabs, which hide their faces.

Lawyers for pressure group Liberty have written to Philip Hollobone stating the Equality Act obliges him to avoid discrimination.

The Kettering MP said he needed to meet voters face-to-face.

He added he would invite those who did not remove their veil to communicate in a different way, such as by letter.

Mr Hollobone was unavailable for comment when the BBC attempted to contact him.

He is trying to bring in a Private Member's Bill to ban women wearing the burka or niqab in public. A similar rule has been introduced in France.

I have an excellent plan.

If I don't go to sleep tonight I don't have to wake up and go get made redundant tomorrow!

This is a brilliant idea, with no possible drawbacks.

In other news, I decided to make some homemade chili sauce with some chilis I bought at the supermarket today. They were hot. Very hot. I will never, ever, ever chop up hot chilis again without wearing gloves of some kind. Thankfully I've had the common sense not to touch anything, er, sensitive, but both of my hands are on fire.
