We like nice things to look at & we like going off on weird tangents, so why don't we play with a vague theme & see what happens next.

Rules?

1. It's not a competition. You're only challenging yourselves & I won't be picking a winner.
2. Use what you've got. Your ideas & execution are more important than how good your gear is.
3. Lurkers will be frowned at, join in.
4. Funny/clever titles are encouraged.
5. Advice giving & asking for help is encouraged too. Some folk are better/more knowledgeable than others, share ideas.
6. You can tell people about this. It's not Fight club, if you know someone who'd like it let them know. After all the original photo challenge was one of the reasons I stuck around, it was something to be a part of while I got a feel for you lot :)
7. Really there are no rules, just try & stick with the theme.

The first theme is OOT THE WINDAE (out the window). You've got till the end of the month to have fun with this one. GO! GO! GO!

Did my wife pay you to come up with this to make me clean the windows?

Jeepers, Trousers! Make things hard for us why don't you?! :D

By coincidence, I watched 'Rear Window' with Jimmy Stewart for the first time this evening, so I'm up for this!

Funnily enough it was just the dog looking out when I thought about taking the pic. The wife was just saying goodbye to her folks out on the drive and the dog was staring out looking a bit melancholy.

Then by the time I got the camera out there was a new face at the window and the tone of the picture completely changed.

You should probably get some bars put on that window, don't you know those things will leap through a normal glass window like the blood-crazed natural born killers they are, lead flashing and a nice blind arne't enough to contain nature's death-machines.

I mean, yeah, they look sweet and all with the blonde hair and blue eyes and playful nature... but they are just waiting, poised to KILL.

In the interest of keeping the thread alive and before I forget to submit anything before my hols, here's my take on "Oot teh Windae". Apologies for using a BeeXlet, I know how disgusting some of you lot find kids.

Since she's holding a duster I'm guessing that was the windae oot the windae. Did the bairn draw it herself or did you "help"? :D

I had a wee play around with long exposures last night, 60 seconds was about right so that'll be "A minute oot the windae" then.

Yeah it's my window out the window. There's another up on Flickr where she's holding the chalk up like she's making the finishing touches. :D

You sure it was a long exposure and not the lights from dealers Scoobies, Wullie?

So we now have a grand total of 3 pics... Come on you shutter bugs, pull your fingers out.

Thanks Pete. I did have a shot through my windscreen looking up at a wiper and a lamp post that looked warped due to water drops that I was going to submit. (Can we post multiples as it's not a compo, Wullie?)

I think he's meant to be Buddha (it was in the flat when I moved in).

Here's some windaes that I saw when I drank too much coffee while waiting on Gav shifting his arse. If you could see through my fingers & some rooftops you'd see Hampden. (We finally got away slightly later than planned)
Attachment:
windaes.JPG

& here's my trip home at a sensible time oot the windae.
Attachment:
delays.JPG
(We followed these buggers for a mile or so before they decided to block the road & get on a low-loader, this took half an hour or so. Then we got stuck behind the low-loader for several miles until we hit a straight bit & they waved us past, another 20 odd mins)
Check out that lovely bird shite smeared all over the windscreen too. I would've got out but we were stopped in that wee dark damp corner (perfect midge country!)

Looking out the "windae" of the first ever Tesla in Scotland at the second ever Tesla in Scotland.

Dull photo otherwise, admittedly.

What are you holding up on the windaes pic Wullie? Is it cut glass?

That's about the same as I've got at the moment - and that was from a tidy-up last week. I'm terrible for saving everything to the desktop and then sorting it out later, usually when I've forgotten what the file was for.

My XP desktop was always like that, because the "Save As" common control dialogue only had "Desktop" and "Recently Used" as quick links and I'm lazy. In Vista and 7, "Documents" and the libraries are in there, so now my desktop is much cleaner.

I went to see someone the other day and there literally wasn't a single space on their desktop for any more icons. They'd even turned off the snap to a grid thing so that they could overlap them to fit more in. :DD

They are not Morris dancers as there are wimmins there and that makes them not Morris Dancers as Morris dancers don't have wimmins in them.
