Yeah, it cut off halfway through the songs each time.

When the Journey song came on I was all, "Aaaah, now I see why they picked that song for little Joe in the X Factor"...

Just discovered Leverage. It's like the hustle but with a bigger budget and more action.

Good entertainment.

The first episode of the new series was so. Fucking. Good. I even ended up feeling sympathy for George despite the fact he spent the first 45 minutes or so being a 24-carat wanker.

Ugh, nasty. Seems to be under control, though.

Also: I didn't realise he was married to the actress who plays his sister in Dexter, the skinny, white bitch.

They married over the new year just past i think - and yes it seems odd that he was going out with and has now married 'his sister'.

True Blood was one of those shows which has a weird vibe going on but its interesting , then it just goes totally nuts and never even considers going back to 'normal'

Sure there are plot inconsistances but there are that many strange things happening in front of you that you either forgive them or miss them completly.

Finished 'Life' S2 last night. I think it was a thoroughly excellent show, although it ended a little confusingly. The main female lead is incredibly attractive, and it also has brief appearances from Our Mrs Reynolds, who is fit.

Awesome moment for Firefly fans in Castle, season 2 episode 5.

Castle, played by Nathan "Mal" Fillion is preparing for his Halloween Party and dresses up in a perfect Mal oufit. His daughter says "what are you supposed to be?" and Castle answers "Space Cowboy!" with a Firefly-esque chord on the soundtrack. Daughter then says "You last wore that costume over 5 years ago, shouldn't you let it go?"

I laughed out loud.

Spooky. We just watched that episode and came on here to post about it to find I had been gazumped.

The series has quickly established itself as a firm favourite in the trouserhouse.

Spooky indeed. What're the odds that we'd watch the same episode on the same day? It's not like it's just been on either. :S

Also in Castle Paz. I man-love Fillon. He's ace, and probably one of the reasons people liked Firefly so much.

I've series 2 downloaded from merka up to episode 13 so it was just the 'verse or summfink making us watch it at the same time like.

What channel is it on in the UK?

Glee is rapidly becoming my second favourite show on the tellybox (after Modern Family).

Watched the episode with the football game yesterday. Brilliant stuff.

Glee is excellent. After watching the first 2 on TV, the wife insisted that I get the rest of the Merkin episodes. We've seen up to episode 12 and it get's better.

As for Castle, it's not UK TV yet as far as I know.

Apparently there are a number of little references to Firefly in Castle's office. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for more.

And here. It's formulaic as fuck but a fun way to fill 3/4 of an hour. If you're going to cast Nathan Fillion you might as well give him as Nathan Fillion-y a role as possible. Also, it drove me up the wall for the whole first series trying to work out where I'd seen one of the cop sidekicks before, when I finally twigged that he was one of the squaddies in Generation Kill.

This weekend we watched the whole first season of Friday Night Lights. It lost its way a teeny bit in the middle third but was generally bloody excellent.

According the CraigG's twitter, apple are pushing to drop TV show downloads to 59p.

Assuming they are DRM free, I think I would jump on board then. A 20 episode series is £12 which is reasonable and actually cheaper than a DVD box set.

Ah, of course, they would need to be able to be kept on a my external hard drive for xbox 360 playback, which doesn't seem likely...

In that it's a high school melodrama, yeah. I can sort've kind've maybe see the comparision, if I squint a bit.

Same here, but same issue with not being able to play them through the 360. And that issue is DRM, currently. I can't see it changing.

Well. Yeah? Who gives [TELEVISION] shows and films on the net for free, un-encrypted, other than torrent sites? At least this is getting close to a vaguely fair price.

Even the [BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION] doesn't give you unencrypted files of their own stuff.

I can't see that changing for a good while either.
